this album was born out of an image.
i was working on some layered images for artwork for a couple of music "projects" and decided to open the options by creating daily postings for one month and sharing them on facebook to whomever might see them.
I wondered if someone, anyone would hop on the bus with me. serendipitously and wonderfully, three musicians each of whom i admire, all loved the image that has become the cover art for this release.
Pete Swinton . . . nothing short of a global star of dark ambient, experimental, electronic music. Ottmar Soulier . . . simply, an astonishing presence for anyone who has the privilege of connecting with his music. Gordon Way. self taught and unconditionally and lovingly tapping into the creative force that is pressing through him . . . .
i approached them figuring, maybe one or maybe even two would say "yes" to the question "would you like to be a part of a music project with me?" wonderfully, magically, all three of these talented creative people came "on board".
their contributions came without rules or expectations, and are entirely and wonderfully, solo imagined creations.
each of these musicians have brought the magical presence of themselves as expressed through music to this little iteration of what is possible in this place.
my sincerest gratitude is offered to ottmar, pete, and gordon for their generosity of spirit!
